Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This site is built to collect as little personal data as possible. There is no account, no newsletter form, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookie. This policy explains what remains, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
The controller is Bernard Millet, DataEdgePro, Switzerland. For any privacy question, contact Bernard Millet through LinkedIn.
What happens when you visit
- Server logs. Like any web server, our host automatically records technical data for each request: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser and operating system, referring page. These logs are used only to run and secure the site and are deleted by the host after a limited period.
- No cookies. The site sets no cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
- Settings saved in your browser. A few conveniences are stored only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us: your reading mode (dark or light) on articles, and your progress and checked steps in the Labs. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings, or with the "Reset my progress" button in each lab.
- Fonts and libraries. Fonts, charts and PDF tools are served from this site itself. No request is made to Google Fonts or to third-party content delivery networks.
The assessment tools
The Data Tools (maturity, AI readiness, AI governance and CDO scorecard assessments) run entirely in your browser. Your answers, scores and PDF reports are computed on your device and are not sent to us or to anyone else. Nothing is kept once you close the page.
Links to other sites
The site links to LinkedIn, YouTube, the author's portfolio and external sources cited in articles. Nothing is loaded from these sites until you click a link. Once you follow it, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger on a server located in Frankfurt, Germany, with backups stored in France. Both locations are in the European Union, which Switzerland recognises as providing adequate data protection.
Your rights
You can ask for information about the personal data concerning you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. In practice the only personal data processed is the server log described above. Send your request through LinkedIn, as indicated above. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in Switzerland, the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC); in the EU, the authority of your country of residence.
Changes
If the site starts to use a new service that processes personal data (for example a contact form or privacy-friendly visit statistics), this policy will be updated before it goes live.
